Lolly Adams, ‘Pick Me’, 2024, 3D animation, 1 minute 52 seconds (looped).

Working with: Animator: Markus Fielder @markusfielder, sound and music: Dominic Kennedy and vocals: Bianca Stephens @tairayne

Based on heartache songs by The Supremes, ‘Pick Me’ is sung by three sphincter-esq flowers who sing to the sunlight that shines through the drain above.

This video is from the film ‘Grandad’s Tooth’.
I received DYCP funding from @aceagrams in 2022 to transform my performance practice with Miss HerNia @misshernia into a 3D animation. This film brings together the Miss HerNia inception story and follows a lost tooth that travels through a magical and monstrous subterranean world, where it becomes the missing link in a mutant fat-creature’s plan to swallow and digest all of humanity.

Insuﬀerably Sweet oﬀers various extractions from eleven artists’ from the class of 2026, who have now completed their first year at the RA Schools. The show reflects a condensing of each artists’ process, rooted in the specificity of communal working and charged with emotional and imaginative resonance between studio and collective making.

Chuffed to have my work hung right next to @corneliaparkerartist ’s piece in her colourful blue room @royalacademyarts summer exhibition - last 5 days to visit. Feeling generous? I’ve got prints available to buy > link in bio.

The Bolster Playground (2024) is a series of 50, 29 x 21 cm archival pigment prints of a collage depicting a construction of upright hands supporting connecting dark grey lines with coloured objects flopped over them.

The Bolster Playground artworks (2019 - ongoing) expand into installation, movement, workshops and exhibitions which are rooted in collaboration. The project was conceived for an Alternative Art School Weekender festival that I organised in 2019 with @theotherma hosted by @weareuglyduck

The weekender bought together over 15 alternative art schools and self organised collectives to build our network, share skills and discuss art education, accessibility, socially engaged projects, alternative spaces, gentrification and how working in alternative ways might create a different art world.

Watch this space for a book to be published re: DIY art schools coming next year ✨ by @theotherma

It’s been an interesting experiment navigating both worlds now being at the RA. Learning so much and to share on.
